Proof of Learning for the course
Students will attempt the Credential Proof of Learning for the course. If a student does not earn the credential, a teacher-made test will be required on exam day. Students earning the credential will receive a score of 100 as the final exam grade. Students completing the teacher-made test will receive that score as a final exam grade.
Students who meet the criteria for exemption may be able to complete their test or culminating activity prior to exam week.
Exam Grade - 20%
An artifact(s) of “Proof” must be submitted for each credential earned. Keep copies or send to CIMC as they are earned - cannot get credit for credential without artifact
Best Practices - Credentials
Make Plan ahead of time to collect needed artifact - students may have to print artifact for you as they earn the credential(s)
Positively promote credentials for your courses
Credentials become a Resume Item
Credentials are documented on student Transcripts
Credentials provide an edge in workplace/hiring process
Make the statement - When you leave this class you “will have earned XYZ credential” - set the expectation
YOU Earn your courses credential and DISPLAY your certificates
NOTE:
If a Credential is available for students to earn - we MUST document results even if credential is not the Proof Of Learning for the course
Documentation requires the Credential Artifact

On final exam day students will present their PBM or complete a culminating activity. It will be a school level decision regarding students who meet the criteria for exemption in being allowed to present their PBM or culminating activity prior to exam week.
